Inverse filter demo

Speaker

The bass demo  is really a standout for more “normal” musical sounds, as it has a buzzy sound like an OBXa on top of an OSCAR.

Christopher Laird Simmons, Music Industry Newswire

With this filter type the sound model is interpreted as a "Source" and a resonant body "Filter". The cutoff parameter can be used here to shift the formant structure of a sound. You can have a look on the filter model with the context menu of the spectrum graphics window. Just select "Show filter" there. What you see here is the time varying level of a logarithmically spaced 60 band filter.

Don´t you 1

Speaker

This preset is based on a resynthesized short vocal phrase. The Formant characteristic is preserved while playing different notes. You can shift the Formants with the Modwheel. During the demo the "Time" Parameter and “Residual” parameter are tweaked for additional expressive effects.

Don´t you 2

Speaker

The same phrase as above, but this time there is a robotic constant pitch throughout the phrase like a vocoder. The constant pitch was achieved with the new import option “Wavetable” which ignores all pitch variations of the source sample.

Bitmap import demo

With the context menu entry "Analyze image..." you can turn every bitmap file into a sound. See and hear the presets "Fractal scape" and "Messier 27" ( a photo from the Hubble space telescope of the Galaxy "M27" ).

FrameDrum

Speaker

The sound model of a frame drum: first the time parameter is modified, then the partial structure is changing with the “Spread” and “Ensemble” parameter.

Speaker

Do you hear breaking the ice ?

Bell Tree

Speaker

Sometimes a badly analyzed sample can give the most intereting results.

Ghost forest

Speaker

Get lost here

Glocken Pad

Speaker

This is an example of using an “artificial” model of a strucked bell for extreme clear sounds.

The noise side of sound.
